David J. Guilford
President

Dave Guilford is the founding principal of DLG Associates, Inc. In addition to serving as President, Mr. Guilford is actively involved in client management and primary search work on behalf of a broad client base.

Prior to founding DLG Associates, Mr. Guilford served as Co-Managing Partner of Sanford Rose Associates-Charlotte, a multifaceted national search firm.

Before entering the search profession, Mr. Guilford was Executive Vice President of Barclays American Mortgage Corporation. As a member of the company's start-up management team, he played a significant role in directing its growth to one of the nation's Top Ten mortgage banking companies. His twenty-year career in financial services included management positions with Wachovia and RBC Centura.

Mr. Guilford holds Batchelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from East Carolina University. Academic credentials include election to membership in Beta Gamma Sigma national business honor fraternity and Phi Sigma Pi national collegiate honor fraternity. He is a member of The Appraisal Institute, holding the MAI designation, and is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina. Prior to the Bank’s sale in 2009, Mr. Guilford served as a member of the Board of Directors of American Community Bank where he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Board, Chairman of the Directors Loan Committee, and a senior human resources consultant to the Bank's executive management group.
